You will receive a confirmation email from GISCorps shortly. That email will contain a private link that you can use to access and update your volunteer profile at any time. You’ll also find an “Update Your Profile” button in the footer of every email you receive from GISCorps.
Now that you are an official GISCorps volunteer, you’ll start receiving our quarterly newsletter along with recruiting announcements inviting you to apply for new volunteer opportunities that match the skills you listed on your profile. Please add recruit@giscorps.org to your email contacts list to ensure that these opportunities make it to you inbox and not your spam folder.
In the meantime, we encourage you to explore the GIS Service Pledge program, which allows you to design your own GISCorps mission for an organization that you care about. It’s a great opportunity to provide your geospatial expertise to an organization that might benefit from GIS but isn’t aware of GISCorps and the services we provide. We also invite you to contribute to the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) campaigns that we are currently supporting.
