The Esri User Conference is one of the most anticipated annual gatherings for GISCorps volunteers and partner organizations, offering a chance to connect in person, explore emerging GIS technologies, and exchange ideas for future collaborations. The 2025 event, held from July 14–18, brought together members of the GISCorps community from across the globe.

The week began with a special honor on Monday evening, when GISCorps was invited to showcase its work at the Map Gallery Reception. GISCorps Founder Shoreh Elhami and volunteer Monicque Lee greeted visitors, shared the organization’s mission, and welcomed fellow volunteers and partners who stopped by to reconnect.

Throughout the conference, GISCorps was once again featured in the GIS for Good showcase, where a dedicated kiosk served as a hub for conversation and outreach. Volunteers David Barry, Chaitra Arshanapalli, Kate Lenzer, and Joe Lemeris, along with Program Coordinator Megan Sehr, met with potential partners and volunteers and reconnected with those who had collaborated on past projects.

On Wednesday, GISCorps held its annual meeting, providing updates on recent projects, discussing opportunities for engagement, and inviting stories from both volunteers and partners. The gathering reinforced the value of community and collaboration that continues to define GISCorps’ work year after year.
