Shawn’s Experience: Volunteering with GISCorps allows me to develop my technical skills further and, at the same time, expand my industry contacts. GIS technology is rapidly evolving and having GISCorps’ missions helps provide a focus to learn new (to me) technology and/or workflows, especially for those I might not be exposed to in my daily career. Helping and working with great people, both others volunteering and those who are the GISCorps mission focus, is the best part of all.
