Hannah’s Experience: I have enjoyed working on the Photomappers team because I have been able to learn about places that are damaged by hurricanes and how communities come together to prepare and recover from the often devastating storms. It has been interesting to learn about all of the resources used by disaster response teams to identify hot spots of damage and areas of most need.
Why Hannah Volunteers: GISCorps has offered me a great way to be involved in GIS related projects outside of my job. I feel like I am making a difference while also learning how to work on a large team of people.
