Health Requirements for Traveling

The best and most reliable source for traveller's health information is found at the Centers for Disease Control web site (www.cdc.gov) There is a section for each region (Africa, Asia, South America, etc.), and information for each country. It is easy to print this, and take it to your Doctor when you have been selected for an assignment so that s/he can give you all the right shots and medications.

If your own Doctor is not well versed in tropical or international medicine, or does not carry the vaccines you need, Universities in your area may have a "Travel Health Clinic" or something similar which provides these services for a nominal fee. They are often associated with the Medical School of the University.
