    Information for Volunteers

The GISCorps Volunteer Deployment Handbook is provided by GISCorps as a source of information for future volunteers. The handbook describes the various types of missions to which GISCorps volunteers may be deployed, categorizing the missions broadly as Remote or On-site. The basic information included here describes the living conditions, personal needs, and the GIS environments that a volunteer may encounter, or need, to accomplish their task. It is not intended to be all-encompassing, but to provide a basic framework for the volunteer to build upon in order to have a successful deployment.
