URISA Board of Directors and the GISCorps Core Committe, extend their deepest gratitude to the Board of Commissioners of Alachua County, Florida, for their generous support of the GISCorps by offering staff and network resources for the establishment and the maintenance of this site from its inception in October 2003 till January of 2007.

The site is best viewed with a Microsoft Explorer browser (version 4.0 or better) and with a screen resolution of at least 800 X 600 pixels. Other compatible browsers include Netscape 6.0, Mozilla 1.6, and Firefox 0.9.1 or better. Many files on this site require the Adobe Reader for viewing. You can download the Reader here.

The GISCorps website is hosted using the Microsoft IIS 5.2 web server. The webpages are written in the PHP 4.3.4 scripting language. The GISCorps website data is stored in a MySQL 4 database. The GISCorps Open Forum has been implemented with the PHPBB, open source bulletin package. PHP and MySQL are cross-platform, freely available applications.
